Our sweet JUNEBUG is nothing less than the PERFECT ambassador of her breed!! We have the ideal home in mind for her & the ideal person :) Once we rescue a dog, it is up to us to get to know them & their needs, their potential & what it will take for them to fulfill that potential. Then it is our duty to find that ideal situation for them. JUNEBUG will make someone a very loyal companion & she has the potential to do GREAT work for all Pit Bulls that unfortunately, society frowns upon. We see JUNEBUG’s perfect home as one with someone that will utilize her amazing nature, her heartbreaking past & her incredible fortitude to TEACH others about the wonderful qualities her breed has to offer & the horrors they suffer at the hand of humans. JUNEBUG was seized by animal control in a cruelty case. She spent her entire first 5 years of “life” kept in a very small, feces filled crate, starved for both food & companionship. She suffered some malformed skeletal growth due to the confinement, but nothing that will have long term medical consequences. JUNEBUG today is a healthy, happy girl that only longs for ONE thing….her very own person that will cherish her & love her unconditionally….just like she loves! Honestly, after all she has been through, JUNEBUG remains TRUE to her Pit Bull nature & only wants to do good! She is great with all dogs, amazing on the leash, sits & has excellent recall (once she gets to know you). Only one thing about JUNEBUG will make her placement something of a challenge….she is an escape artist. She can climb, jump & scale any fence put in front of her, so our girl can NEVER be left in a yard alone. We hope to find someone for JUNEY that can take her with them to work, someone that works from home, or someone that is retired. Not only would JUNEBUG make a great teacher, she would excel greatly in canine therapy work….visiting nursing homes, hospitals, domestic violence shelters & so on. We will work with JUNEBUG’s adopter to provide them with all they need to enter this field. We will provide her CGC training & certification as well. But we are unable to get her started on this path until she is in a home environment. If a working dog is not what you had in mind, JUNEBUG would be just as happy being a member of the family. But we see a lot of potential in her for even greater things! JUNEBUG is currently in boarding, as we did not have an appropriate foster home available for her when we took her in. Sometimes, there is no time to find a foster….as in JUNEBUG’s case, she would have been killed in the shelter had we not gotten her out when we did. It is never our choice to put a dog in boarding, but sometimes it is a necessity. But JUNEBUG needs out! She NEEDS to be in a home with a person that can lavish upon her all she was denied before.
